Gluten Free Glasgow

Being gluten free is never easy to get a variety of different options and especially pub food that involves steak pie, chicken pie, fish and chips and many more gluten containing foods. On this occasion, the Orchard Park a local pub, restaurant and boutique hotel located in the Giffnock area offers those on a gluten free diet a variety of choice. The gluten free options are available on the main menu with GF marked next to the available options. The menu ranges from steaks with available sauces without wheat flour, mussels, curry, a variety of different salads including Caesar and lastly a beef or chicken burger with an available gluten free bun and chips! My Choice... Normally most restaurants do not offer a gluten free beef burger never mind offering a burger bun that also contains no gluten products, so of course I was over the moon to be able to have a proper burger again! Andiamo is an Italian restaurant located in Giffnock and Milngavie just outside the Glasgow area.   Again as I have previously mentioned Italian is most definitely my favourite cuisine. At Andiamo they have a dedicated gluten free menu available which ranges from starters including, bruschetta, olives and a range of Italian meats served with buffalo mozzarella. Main courses including, gluten free pasta either spaghetti or penne, risotto (often a popular gluten free option as risotto is made from rice), meats and fish along with sides of garlic bread, homemade chips and mash potato. Lunchtime... Andiamo is not only great for an evening meal however they offer a range of gluten free sandwiches which are perfect for lunchtime.
